Contact Point & Extending Through the Baseball
The earliest video that we have of Nolan dates back to September 2023. He had very good hand-eye coordination, but was coming off an injury that he may have been compensating for. The result was that he had a contact point that was deep in the zone, but somehow was able to get the barrel in front of his hands. This resulted in a swing that exited left too early and you very rarely saw him hit balls well to anywhere other than the left side of the field. This is earliest video I could find with a picture of the contact point below it.
