Meet the coaches

Our coaches aren’t just instructors, they’re co-builders of your game. Each member of the Extra Hacks team brings years of experience working with athletes at all levels, including professionally. But what makes them different isn’t just what they’ve done, it’s how they teach.

At Extra Hacks, every coach is a subject matter expert who helps build both the in-person sessions and the digital content. They're not here to preach mechanics from a mountaintop. They’re here to partner with you, challenge you, and give you space to experiment because real development requires more than perfect swings.

“We care way more about how often you hit a ball hard than how far your hardest-hit ball travels.”- Kevin Rojko, Founder & Head Coach

We’re not chasing flashy stats or viral highlights. We’re building effective hitters who know their swing, understand their approach, and can compete in real game situations. That means:

  • We’re process-oriented, not result-chasers. Progress takes time, especially when working through drills that challenge your default movement patterns. You're going to struggle and that's a good thing. Growth requires discomfort.
  • We teach both mechanics and mindset. Yes, we’ll clean up your bat path. But we also want to know how you think through a pitch sequence, how you adjust mid-AB, and how you compete when it counts.
  • We’re data-aware, not data-obsessed. Metrics are tools, not goals. You’ll get stronger. You’ll develop a better range of motion. But we’re not here to glorify one-off EV numbers.

Our coaching staff lives this philosophy in the cage and behind the content. Get to know them below.

Kevin Rojko

Founder

A native of San Jose, California, Kevin attended Pioneer High School (2010) where he was an All-BVAL performer as an infielder/outfielder. He moved on to Cabrillo College for two years, again earning All-Conference and Academic All-State awards as an outfielder before finishing his career at Villanova University (2014). Kevin has coached at CCB since 2015 and been integral in the development of numerous MLB draft picks including Petey Halpin (9th round), Tommy Troy (1st round), and Luke Keaschall (2nd round). His team won the bronze medal at the 2022 USA Baseball Championship in Arizona. As a player, Kevin was always described as one who would always do the little things right to help his team win games. That is a guiding principle in his coaching philosophy - no detail is too small to care about.

Sean Hodson

Hitting Director

Sean played his high school baseball at Gunn High School (2009) in Palo Alto, California before playing at Seattle University and West Valley College. He has been a coach at CCB since 2014 and helped in developing the likes of Josh Kasevich (2nd round), Jonah Advincula (8th round) and Andrew Kachel (16th round). He was also an assistant at Palo Alto High School before becoming the Head Coach at Saratoga High School, where he led the Falcons to a league title in 2018. There is no question that Sean is one of the best hitting coaches in the Bay Area. His ability to teach hitting mechanics blended with his unique background in psychology (M.S. Psychology) makes him a perfect fit to be heading our Extra Hacks team.
